Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 21 Jan. 2026

On Wednesday’s program, 21 January 2026, we connected live with Amyntaio and spoke with Diamanto Kritikou, President of the Amyntaio Agricultural Association, about the future of the farmers’ mobilisations, following their meeting with the Prime Minister and the decision for a gradual withdrawal from the roadblocks.

This was followed by a review of the day’s front pages from online media and newspapers. In the studio, Walid Elias, ERT analyst on Middle East affairs, joined us for a discussion on Trump’s initiatives regarding Gaza and the new realities taking shape in Syria, Lebanon, and for the Kurds. The first hour concluded with international news, presented by Ivana Tzortzevits.

In the second hour, we spoke with Giorgos Pothitos, President of the 5th Municipal Community of the City of Athens and representative of the Promponas Residents’ Committee, about the residents’ ongoing struggle to prevent the commercial exploitation and development of the area in question, and to secure its return to the community for recreational use, green spaces, and cultural projects. The hearing of the case before the Council of State has been postponed to 11 February.

In the final segment of the program, just before the sports news, we asked Giorgos Rouskas, former President of the Notaries of Greece and the EU, to analyse the key points of the new legislative framework being prepared for inheritance matters—the new inheritance law expected to be passed in the near future—which aims to address long-standing distortions and problems in the system.
