On Thursday’s edition of the program, 28 May 2026, following an extensive review of the day’s current affairs, we moved on to an interview with Panos Stathopoulos, election analyst, with whom we discussed the latest political developments and opinion polls following the announcement of the new parties led by Alexis Tsipras and Maria Karystianou.
Immediately afterwards, we spoke by phone with Kostas Gavroglou, member of the Scientific Council of the Alexis Tsipras Institute and former Minister of Education. Our discussion focused on the nationwide university entrance examinations, the higher education admissions system, and developments surrounding Alexis Tsipras’s political party.
Later, during the second hour of the program, we discussed the Energy Crisis with Giannis Bassias, energy consultant and former president of the Hellenic Hydrocarbons Management Company (EDEY). Among other issues, we referred to Block 2, the offshore concession west of Corfu, where drilling operations are expected to begin in the near future — a project considered highly significant for energy stability in Southern Europe.
Prompted by the rise in road accidents, particularly those involving young people, we then spoke with Manolis Stavroulakis, president of the association SOS Road Crimes.
Finally, Polykarpos Chalkidis, representative of the Hellenic Hoteliers Federation from Preveza, discussed tourism prospects in Western Greece.
