Speaking to Voice of Greece from Posidonia 2026, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Vasilis Kikilias joined the program “Fair Winds and Following Seas” to discuss the significance of this year’s exhibition and the future of Greek shipping.
Mr. Kikilias praised the excellent organization and success of Posidonia 2026, emphasizing that the event brings together maritime professionals from across the globe at a particularly critical moment in international geopolitics. He noted that the Ministry’s priority is to support and further develop the shipping sector, one of Greece’s most important strategic assets.
The Minister also stressed that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy intends to leverage the added value generated by Greece’s position as the world’s leading shipping nation, contributing actively to the shaping of decisions that will determine the future of global shipping.
