On Thursday, January 18th, 2024 at 12:00 (Athens time), the show “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou, meets historian and guide Ioli Vingopoulou, on the occasion of the new series of open online talks “Traveling to Istanbul with travelers: From the Fall of Constantinople to the beginning of the 20th century” organized by the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation and with her own contribution.
She talks to us about the gaze of European travelers from the 15th to the 20th century in the area of the Eastern Mediterranean; about the enlightening historical, cultural and geographical evidence they deposit; and, of course, about the content of her fascinating online speeches that after the Cities and Places of Asia Minor and the unique Aegean Sea, they focus on iconic Istanbul.
