On Monday, November 27, the show “Our Town” features Angeliki Toubanaki.
The unique and pioneering artist talks about her many and important activities that have to do with the voice as a musical instrument, a tool for therapy, as a scientific method for the rehabilitation of diseases and disorders, a means for taking action in general.
The artist talks about the Forum Women project which involves a music collective that she inspired and created herself and whose goal is to tell stories about special women who inspired composers around the world and became songs in the musical traditions of certain peoples, while also telling stories about free women who tore down social stereotypes.
The show refers to the many different projects going on concerning the music genres of jazz, word music, vocal improvisation.
Vocalist, teacher, and researcher Angeliki Toubanaki remains at the forefront of creation and social contribution, with her many participations and awards in international music events, her activity with the National Theatre, at the prisons of Thebes, at the second chance school, and the KETHEA Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals.
