Antonis Klapsis, associate professor of modern history and international politics at the University of the Peloponnese, discussed the key events of the 1973-1974 period in Greece. He provided a brief overview of the years leading up to this time, beginning with the 21st April 1967 coup, on Voice of Greece radio, during the program “Our Global Voice” with Petros Diplas and Dimitris Kontogiannis.
Professor Klapsis focused on the period from the summer of 1973 to the summer of 1974, covering the Turkish invasion of Cyprus and the return of democracy to Greece with Konstantinos Karamanlis’s return to Athens from Paris.
