Greece is left without a research vessel.
Climate change will be more intense in the Mediterranean. What data were collected by the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research operations, so that we have important information about major, catastrophic phenomena? Research (sediments, fractures, layering, etc.) was carried out by the German research vessel METEOR, in which Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, led by Professor Dimitris Sakellariou, in autumn 2023. What is the new seismic section scanning supersystem? What about fish farming in Greece? What are the new premises of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research? What are the potential of our country in terms of marine research, in the geopolitical arena with an old vessel, when Europe and Turkey possess fleets?
