On Wednesday, February 15, on “Faraway Words”, journalist and editorial director of the newspaper “Neos Kosmos” Mr. Sotiris Hatzimanolis joins the program, on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the operation of the expatriates’ mass media (February 13, 1957). Mr. Hatzimanolis unfolds the history of the newspaper, which was founded in the difficult early years of the great wave of post-war immigration of Greeks to Australia, and talks about the important milestones in the newspaper’s course.
Also, the president of the Greek Community of the Strait of Sicily Mr. Daniil Makris, on the occasion of his participation in a conference in Chania on the Greek language. Mr. Makris points out that the Greek Ministry of Education has stopped sending a seconded teacher to their region without notice.
