Giorgos Rektsinis, a second generation expatriate and president of the Greek Naval Group of Kairo, spoke about the situation in Egypt, the presence of the Greek community and Greek businesses in the large Arab country of 106 million inhabitants on “Our Global Voice” on the radio of the Voice of Greece with Petros Diplas and Dimitris Kontogiannis.
Mr. Rektsinis said that the Greek community has about 2,000 members today with a total population of 106 million people compared to about 500 thousand in the 1950s when the population of Egypt was about 19 million people.
