On Sunday, May 14th, the show “Our Town” with Themis Rodamitis presented a tribute to the life and work of Nikos Gatsos.
Author and researcher of his work Stavros Kartsonakis came to the studio and talked about Gatsos’ journey in the field of versification and poetry.
At the same time, special reference was made to the groups of this era, the coffee shops that were “cells” of spiritual creation, Gatsos’ relations with important personalities, his international and creative influences.
Poems were read by actors Stelios Mainas and Evdokia Statiri. Costas Ferris, Dimitris Papadimitriou and Nena Venetsanou also spoke on the broadcasting program.
We listened to songs from each era and from many collaborations of the poet, as we heard him also reciting.
