On Friday’s show, April 5th, 2024, we spoke with Giannis Agouridis, financial editor of Avgi and the Financial Postman, Giannis Agouridis, about the data of statistical surveys that show that Greek citizens cannot respond, to a significant extent, to the problem of the increased prices. We then connected with Samos, from where Anastasia Miliou, research director of ARCHIPELAGOS Institute, gave us the latest news from the efforts of scientists to save our seas, on the occasion of the visit of students from the USA and Belgium, who participated in research missions by “Archipelagos”.
In the second hour, we dealt with gender-based violence, on the occasion of the femicide case in Agioi Anargyroi. We spoke with Fofi Tsesmeli, Dj, activist and co-founder of the platform “Matterz” for the promotion of safe spaces, and Martha Bouziouri, director, dramaturg, on the occasion of the restart of performances with the play “Pieta” which, essentially, she co-wrote with 5 mothers of women murdered by their partners.
Before the end of the show, we called distant Australia and spoke with Greek-Australian soprano Penny Pavlaki about two major concerts she organizes in Sydney and Melbourne dedicated to important artists of Greek origin who glorified Greece abroad.
