”The Voice That Unites Us” with guest bouzouki soloist Vangelis Trigas

Vangelis Trigas joined Gianna Triantafylli on the show “The Voice that Unites Us” on Thursday, May 25, on the occasion of his two big concerts in Switzerland. In particular, he will be presenting the oratorio Canto General written by Mikis Theodorakis in the cities of Solothurn and Olten, for two solo voices, mixed choir and orchestra on texts from the homonymous cycle of poems of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda.The virtuoso, composer, bouzouki professor, and scholar of Greek Folk Music, talked mainly about his long-term research and study on the bouzouki, with the aim of establishing a documented technique for this particular popular instrument and a thorough study, comparable to that of classical instruments.The show featured music themes and songs from his latest album “Me Dika mou Logia” (In my Own Words) for which he has written both music and lyrics. Special reference was made to his musicians and the singer of his songs Margarita Karamolegkou.
