Daphné Kritharas is a remarkable figure of the Greek diaspora. Although she left Greece as a toddler and did not have the chance to grow up in her homeland, her connection to it is deep and unwavering. She returns whenever she can – she has a particular love for Ikaria – while building an important musical career in her mother’s country, France.
Daphné Kritharas comes to Greece for one night only — her very first concert in the country — at Gazarte on Friday, 21 November. Before that, she stopped by the studios of Voice of Greece for us to meet her, to hear her distinctive music and songs from her newly released album, and to introduce herself for the first time to audiences in Greece and to the Greek diaspora around the world.
