Journalist and Director of the SBS Greek Program, Themis Kallos, was a guest on “Faraway Words” to mark 50 years since the very first Greek-language radio broadcast of Australia’s public broadcaster SBS, which aired on 09 June 2025. He spoke about the early days of those broadcasts, the response they received, and the evolution of the Greek program over the past 35 years during which he has been working there.
