Ms. Betty Larda, Head of the Office for Commercial and Economic Affairs, which is part of the Greek Embassy in Rome, and Mr. Nikos Frangos, Head of the Hellenic Institute of Culture in Milan, spoke about the events that have taken place, are taking place, and are scheduled to take place in Northern Italy, such as in Varese, focusing on the exact replica of the Antikythera Mechanism and beyond, in view of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, during their interview on Voice of Greece Radio and the program “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis.
Ms. Larda emphasized that the roadshow of the replica of the Antikythera Mechanism will culminate at the Planetarium of Milan, where it will be on display throughout the Winter and Paralympic Games, from January to February 2026. During the same period, there will also be an exhibition of Greek marble in a central location of the city. In addition, she noted that a gastronomy event featuring Greek products is being organized at a well-known Michelin-starred restaurant in Milan, whose chef is also a Michelin awardee, at the end of October. The events aim to promote Greece and strengthen relations with Italy, among other objectives.
