“Faraway Words” with Natasa Vissarionos

A mental journey to Florida, USA was prepared for Monday, December 19, 2022, by the broadcasting program “Faraway words”. At the University of Florida, Natasa Vissarionos and Giannis-Stelios Tzirvelakis meet Mr. George Topalidis, historian, researcher and coordinator of the “Ottoman Greeks of the United States Digital History Project” . It is a thorough program, a study launched by Mr. Topalidis in 2015 researching the history of the Greeks of the Ottoman Empire who emigrated to America. It is worth noting that Mr. Topalidis spoke to 250 descendants of these migrants.
