On the Thursday, April 10th edition of the show, following the news headlines and a look at the day’s front pages, we spoke with Mr. Yiannis Loverdos, the new Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister responsible for Hellenism abroad. He reflected on his recent visit to the United States and his meetings with representatives of expatriate organizations, while also outlining his future plans and the Ministry’s priorities in strengthening the ties between Greece and its diaspora communities.
In the second hour, we had a compelling in-studio conversation with Mr. Dimitris Karageorgopoulos, member of the Executive Board of the GSEE (General Confederation of Greek Workers), on the occasion of the previous day’s strike and public demonstrations. Beyond the strike itself, the discussion aimed to shed light on the current state of labor relations—with particular focus on the erosion of employment and wage rights by employers. At the heart of the conversation was the unions’ key demand: the reinstatement of collective bargaining and collective labor agreements across the entire spectrum of the labor market.
