Steve (Stathis) Georganas, Federal Member of Parliament for Adelaide, Australia, spoke to Voice of Greece radio and the program “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis.
Mr Georganas referred to the problems caused in Australia by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as to the concerns of Greeks planning to travel to Greece for their holidays, since airlines are offering no guarantees that flights will go ahead as scheduled.
One of the federal MPs of Greek descent in Australia, Mr Georganas also discussed the country’s housing crisis, the shortage of workers—an issue also faced by Greece and other European countries—and the event held at the Federal Parliament to mark World Greek Language Day, during which he was granted special permission to speak in Greek.
