On Friday, 05 June 2026, the program opened with a review of current affairs, followed by a look at the day’s newspaper headlines and leading stories from the online press.
The first part of the program focused on the growing financial burdens faced by property owners following the announcement of a new levy that will be collected through electricity bills and allocated to Greece’s regional authorities. The issue was discussed with Stratos Paradias, President of the Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners (POMIDA). We also examined the rising cost of housing for tenants with Themis Bakas, President of the E-Real Estates Panhellenic Network.
During the second hour, actor Christos Stergioglou joined us in the studio. Stergioglou directs and performs in “Iaches”, alongside tenor Giorgos Iatrou. The production has been selected to participate in the 54th International Theatre Festival of the 2026 Venice Biennale, following its selection by Biennale Theatre Director Willem Dafoe. During the interview, listeners also heard music from the production composed by Alex Drakos Ktistakis.
The program concluded with Stathis Soulis, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra. The discussion focused on a special concert by the orchestra, scheduled for Monday, 08 June 2026, at the Castle of Ioannina.
