On Thursday, 8 October 2026, “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou welcomed Yannis Ktenas, who holds a PhD in political philosophy and social theory from Panteion University, to the Voice of Greece studio. The occasion was the recent publication by Plithos Publications of “The Uncontrollability of the World,” an essay by the distinguished German sociologist and philosopher Hartmut Rosa.
Ktenas, who served as the edition’s academic editor and wrote its illuminating afterword, spoke to us about the existential dimension of Rosa’s political thought and his critique of the prevailing view of the world as a realm of calculation, exploitation, manipulation, and absolute control—a view that breeds crises and unhappiness. He also discussed the need to rebuild our relationship with the world.
