On Thursday, 12 February, the program “Imprint” with Fulí Zavitsanou welcomed to the studio of Voice of Greece the historian Iason Zarikos, postdoctoral researcher at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and scientific coordinator of the program “The Climate Crisis and the Ideologies of the 21st Century” at the Academy of Athens.
He spoke about the much-discussed book by the Indian historian Dipesh Chakrabarty, “Climate Change and History: Four Theses,” recently published in Greek by Plethos Publications, under his editorial supervision and featuring a particularly illuminating afterword written by him.
The book constitutes one of the most significant interventions in the philosophy of history in our century, establishing climate change as the new horizon of our shared future.
