The island of Chios was in the spotlight on the Tuesday edition of “Wander Words” with Prokopis Agelopoulos.
Our journey through the land of mastiha, the stunning medieval villages, and the proud sea captains was enriched by the insights of:
– Michalis Moschos, Professor of Comparative Literature, shipping entrepreneur, and member of the Greek diaspora based in London,
– Vasso Kritaki, cultural expert and president of the cultural association ARTION,
– and acclaimed theatre and film director Dimos Avdeliodis, who captured the spirit of his native island in his award-winning films The Tree We Hurt (Το Δέντρο που Πληγώναμε) and The Four Seasons of the Law (Η εαρινή σύναξις των αγροφυλάκων).
