Voice of Greece traveled to North Kynouria, a region stretching from the Kiveri beach, on the border with the Argolida region, up to the first Tsakonian villages on the slopes of Parnonas, and along the coast to Tyros in Arcadia. We discovered many fascinating aspects of the area: its history, natural beauty, forests, charming villages with distinctive architecture, and even local cuisine.
Our companions on this journey were Mr. Vassilis Kolovos, secondary education teacher and president of the Astros Cultural Association; Mr. Nikolaos Sakellarakis, forestry officer and president of the Agios Petros Community; Mr. Nikos Polymenakos, philologist and president of the Sitaina Cultural Association; and Ms. Jenny Charmanta, president of the Kastanitsa Cultural Association.
