A sun that paints the white alleys gold, a plate of fava that smells of memory and earth, and an island that breathes slowly, like a poem written with light and salt.
This Monday, September 8, Katerina Batzaki took us on a journey to Schinoussa through her program “Wander Words”. We listen to three people who keep the island’s spirit alive:
- Manolis Simos, with his crops, goats, and volunteer work,
- Nikos Nomikos, who left Athens to continue his family’s history and traditions,
- and Dimitris Papadakis, with 27 years of hospitality experience.
Through their stories, Schinoussa revealed itself as an authentic place, where tradition is part of daily life and hospitality is a way of living.
