Fotini Kollara, Foreign Education Coordinator of the Brussels office, was a guest today on “Take Your Time”, with Prokopis Angelopoulos, on the conclusions of the 29th European Teachers’ Conference, held on April 5th in Brussels. The Conference focused on Educational Evaluation in Europe, taking into account the cases of Greece and Cyprus as well as examples from other European countries and was under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad.
Mrs Kollara stressed that the issue of educational evaluation is very hot and topical in Europe and especially in Greece. As she stressed, “it is important that individual assessment is applied after 42 years for the first time in Greece, as there was immunity, after the abolition of the institution of the inspector and all these years, laws, presidential decrees and decisions came up against forces and realities that were possible to neutralize them.”
It should be noted that the detailed program of the Conference was prepared by the Organizing Committee under the coordination of Mrs Fotini Kollara, Coordinator at the Education Coordination Office of the Greek Embassy in Belgium and Dr Theodoros Kallianos, President of the Organizing Committee in cooperation with the relevant EU services and specifically Ms Vasiliki Karagiannakou of DG Communication.
