“Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 10 Jan. 2025

On Friday, January 10, 2025, the show began with a review of current events and the day’s newspaper headlines. We then discussed the political landscape with Kostas Poulakidas, a political and parliamentary correspondent for the Avgi newspaper.

In the second hour, our studio guests were actor and director Stamatis Tzelepis and his life and artistic partner, Eleni Tsefala. Dr. Tsefala is a theaterologist, director, and the child of Greek immigrants from Messini, born in Canada. The conversation centered around their upcoming production Wherever Land and Patris #2, which will be presented in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide this March.

Eleni Tsefala and Stamatis Tzelepis are preparing for their Australian tour, where they will participate for the second consecutive year in the Sydney Greek Festival with the sequel to their performance Wherever Land and Patris, subtitled From One End… to the Other. The show will also be performed in Melbourne and Adelaide, in collaboration with the Greek Community of Melbourne and the Greek Community of Adelaide.

The discussion also touched on the short film Opposite the Sunrise, co-directed by Eleni Tsefala as Head Director. She co-wrote the screenplay, co-produced the film, and it has received 13 awards for direction and acting in Europe, America, and Asia.

In the studio, the guests shared stories about their meeting and collaboration in theater and film. Stamatis Tzelepis also reminisced about his significant partnerships with iconic figures such as Mimis Fotopoulos and Thanasis Veggos.
