The talented composer-songwriter Alexandros Sidiropoulos (Alex Sid) was hosted in the studio of “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos. Alexandros Sidiropoulos was born and raised in Thessaloniki. He has been playing guitar since the age of 13. In the early 2000s, he lived in London, where he studied sound production and sound design.
He worked at the award-winning Boom Ltd studio on some of the biggest productions for television and cinema, including productions for the BBC, Channel 4, and HBO. He was nominated along with his entire team for Best Sound for the film “Atonement” (2007) and the series “Generation Kill” (2008).
He returned to Greece to work as a sound designer and began composing music for cinema. In 2019, he actively entered the field of film composition, signing the soundtrack for the film “Echoes of the Past” (2021), starring Max von Sydow. Soon after, he wrote and orchestrated the musical themes and songs for the TV series “Wild Bees,” which were performed by him and others. Subsequently, Alexandros Sidiropoulos had a series of sold-out performances. In 2023, he starred again on Greek television with two soundtracks that were immediately loved by the public and accompanied the two most successful productions of the year: “The Beach” (ERT) and “The Witch” (ANT1).
