“Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 16 Apr. 2026

On Thursday, 16 April 2026, following a review of the online and newspaper front pages, the program turned to the war in the Middle East, seeking analysis and insights on the course of negotiations and the prospects for ending the conflict from Theodoros Tsikas, international relations and political science expert. The first hour concluded with international news and updates from the Balkans, presented by Ivana Djordjevic.

The second hour opened with the mobilizations of livestock farmers on Lesvos, prompted by the serious outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease among the island’s sheep and goats, which has led to mass culling and pushed the sector into crisis. Themis Kammenos, President of the Lepetymnos Community and coordinator of the network of communities of the Municipality of Western Lesvos, shared his perspective.

In the final part of the program, the studio welcomed Angeliki Kardara, PhD in Communication and Media Studies at NKUA, philologist, regular scientific associate at the Center for the Study of Crime, author, lecturer, and E-Learning instructor, who has been living in Strasbourg over the past two years. The discussion was prompted by the government’s decision to ban social media use for children under 15, but also expanded to issues such as school bullying, youth violence, and her recent research experience with prison inmates—primarily minors—in the context of her doctoral work.

The program concluded with sports news presented by Antigoni Drakatou.
