On the first September edition of “Take Your Time,” broadcast on Thursday, 3 September 2026, we began with a review of the newspapers and their headlines. We then discussed the high cost of groceries following price reductions on selected supermarket products under an agreement between the government and supermarket owners. Our guest was Giorgos Lechouritis, president of INKA, the General Consumers’ Federation of Greece. The first hour concluded with international news from Ivana Djordjevic.
In the second part, we addressed the important issue of online and telephone scams with Giorgos Papaprodromou, a retired lieutenant general, forensic handwriting examiner, and cybercrime specialist. Next, Lysandros Tsilidis, president of the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel and Tourist Agencies, joined us for an initial assessment of Greece’s summer tourism season.
Before the program wrapped up with sports news from Vassilis Motsis, we spoke with Nikoleta Tsitsanoudi-Mallidi, dean of the School of Education at the University of Ioannina, ahead of her departure for Sydney to take part in the 12th International Summer University “Greek Language, Culture and Media.”
