Eleni Skapeti, a member of the Greek community in Malawi, southeastern Africa, whose family is originally from Lemnos, spoke about her family’s history and the pioneering Greeks who moved to the African country more than a century ago in search of opportunities and a better life.
Speaking on “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis, she also discussed the difficult situation currently facing the country and the approximately 70 Greeks who remain in Malawi.
