Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 18 Sept. 2026

On the program broadcast on Friday 18 September 2026, we spoke with journalist Dimitris Psarras on the occasion of the day of remembrance marking 13 years since the murder of Pavlos Fyssas by Golden Dawn. We then discussed the ongoing energy crisis with Giorgos Atsalakis, associate professor at the Technical University of Crete, who analyzed the available data and explained why both its intensity and duration remain unpredictable. The first hour concluded with Ivana Djordjevic and news from around the world and the Balkans.

The second hour was devoted to cinema. Studio guest Andronikos Korakas, who stars in the Greek-German production “Children of the Sun,” discussed the film, which was shot entirely on Evia and premieres at the Hamburg Film Festival on 24 September.

We also spoke by telephone with Betty Kaklamanidou, Professor of Film and Television History and Theory at the Film Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and principal investigator of the research project “The Unknown Cinema of Maria Plyta.” The discussion was prompted by the upcoming screening at the Greek Film Archive of the recently restored print of the 1953 film “Eve.” The screening will also offer audiences an opportunity to discover the life and work of Greece’s first female film director.

The program concluded with sports news presented by Antigoni Drakatou.
