The Montreal Greek Film Festival opens its doors for the 9th year on Monday, November 6. Giannis Kaousias, President and Director of the Festival’s Organizing Committee, speaks on the broadcasting program and welcomes all Greeks and Philhellenes of Montreal, to the 9th Greek Film Festival of Montreal, which is scheduled to take place November 6-12.
The festival gives talented artists from Greece and the international scene the opportunity to present their works, supporting their inspiration and creativity. The program consists of a variety of film genres (drama, detective, comedy, children’s, documentary), reaching as broad an audience as possible.
Apostolos Komvopoulos, head of intra-community relations of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal (HCGM), stresses the importance of the Greek Film Festival of Montreal in disseminating and preserving the Greek language to Greeks of all ages in the greater Montreal area. Last but not least, he talks about the activity of the HCGM aimed at preserving morals, customs, and connecting the new generations with their roots.
