Andrew Mossin from the U.S. talks about his adoption on ”Our Global Voice” | 28 Mar. 2024

Andrew Mossin, one of the 4,000 Greek children adopted by Greece in the 1950s and 1960s, referred to his life, the letters he received when he was old from his biological mother Angeliki Sakka and much more in the show “Our Global Voice” with Petros Diplas and Dimitris Kontogiannis.

Andrew Mossin, who was adopted at the age of 1,5 years old from Mitera Nursery in 1960 by an immigrant couple from Poland and Britain to the United States, was a child out of wedlock and wrote a book called “The son from the mountains”, which was how his birth mother Angeliki Sakka called him in the letters she sent him from 1995 to 2002. His birth mother died in 2003 but he does not know where she was buried. His biological father, Efthymios Kouroumpis, left his mother and never had contact with him.

Andrew Mossin is an associate professor in the intellectual property program at Temple University in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
