“Faraway Words” at Octoberfest with the Epirus Community of Munich | 23 Sept. 2024

In the show, Giannis Vasileiou, secretary of the Epirus Community of Munich, was featured and spoke about the Community’s participation in this year’s Octoberfest and the grand parade that took place in Bavaria. It is worth noting that the Epirus Community of Munich is the only Greek organization that participates in the Octoberfest parade. The first time was in 2019, which coincided with the 50th anniversary of the community, and this year marks the 55th anniversary. Mr. Vasileiou discussed the challenges of participating in Octoberfest, the strict conditions required, as well as the history and current activities of the Epirus Community.
