In the Voice of Greece studio, we hosted the exceptional piano soloist and professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Christos Marantos, and Efilena Baseta, an architect and professor at the School of Architecture at the Technical University of Vienna.
The two researchers discussed their artistic research project, Trans-bodied Knowledge, which takes place in Vienna and emphasizes the importance of tacit knowledge in today’s society—knowledge transmitted through experiences. The project specifically focuses on haptic senses, such as kinaesthesia, and hearing.
This interdisciplinary research has received the highest funding, PEEK, for three years from the Austrian FWF National Science Fund, and will be presented in April 2025 in video format at the Austrian pavilion of the World Expo in Osaka, Japan, which will run from April to October 2025 and is expected to attract 28 million visitors from around the world.
The two Greek researchers will visit the World Expo in Japan in April and will present their research at other scientific and research centers in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima.
