Businessman of Greek origin Kim Papadopoulos is a prominent member of the Hellenic Community in Finland. He spoke about the two nights of Greek music he organized in Helsinki with the Finnish-Hellenic Association of the city, the economic situation in the Scandinavian country and other issues on “Our Global Voice” on Voice of Greece radio with Petros Diplas and Dimitris Kontogiannis.
The first event took place at his restaurant with the 35 children of the Syros Youth Choir, their escorts and 9 musicians from the Kavafis-Gkatsos group from the Cycladic island and many members of the Finnish-Hellenic Association of Helsinki, including Finnish speakers who visit Greece every year. The second event took place last Saturday night at the Helsinki Music Academy in the presence of Greek and Cypriot embassies and more than 200 guests. Today, there are 12 Finnish-Hellenic Associations in various cities of the country, compared to 22 in the past.
