Ms. Maira Myrogianni, Secretary General for the Greek Diaspora and Public Diplomacy, discussed the main objectives of the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan for the Greek Diaspora, which was presented today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis, and Deputy Minister Kostas Kotsiras. She spoke on the radio program “Our Global Voice” on Voice of Greece, with hosts Petros Diplas and Dimitris Kontoyannis.
Ms. Myrogianni emphasized that the Strategic Plan is dynamic and will evolve over the next three years. She highlighted some of the plan’s key objectives, such as the digitization of services (e.g., the issuance of new passports) provided by Greek consular authorities to the diaspora, the creation of a registry of Greek Communities abroad to facilitate direct communication among them, and the expansion of the youth hosting program, which primarily targets Greek expatriates from many countries to visit Greece.
