Mr. Athanasios Kafkalidis, the Consul of Greece in Peru, spoke about the celebration of the national holiday of October 28 in the capital Lima by the Greek Community, the Peruvians of Greek descent, and the efforts being made to bring them closer to their motherland on Voice of Greece radio show “Our Global Voice,” hosted by Dimitris Kontogiannis and Petros Diplas.

Mr. Kafkalidis emphasized that there is nostalgia and a desire among Peruvians of Greek descent to connect with Greece and their roots despite the great distance separating the two countries. During the event for October 28, ideas for actions and better coordination were also discussed.
