On Sunday, the show “Our Town” on the Voice of Greece pays a small tribute to Manos Hadjidakis. From Studio B of the Hellenic Radio Broadcast, in the environment where the beloved Greek composer scaled new heights, performer and favorite collaborator of the great musician, Vasilis Gisdakis, and guitar soloist, Manolis Androulidakis, play live for the listeners of the show and the Voice of Greece.
In-between songs, interesting discussions take place, while Themis Rodamitis recounts short anecdotes “of moments and aesthetics” communicating the spirit of Manos Hadjidakis.
A show in honor of the composer, poet and citizen, whose quote “I studied in order to be free” shares his company and mentally brings us close to him.
In mid-June ’94, Manos Hadjidakis entered the universe of poetry, becoming a “lottery vendor in heaven”.
