“Our Town” pays tribute to Mary Linda in the first of two programs devoted to the celebrated singer.
The program traces her artistic career, her collaborations, the songs she made her own, and the integrity that defined her. It features songs from her wide repertoire, spanning light popular music, art song, and laiko. Her collaboration with Manolis Chiotis holds a special place in her career.
Bouzouki soloist Thanasis Vasilas takes part in the program. Nena Venetsanou, who worked with Linda, Vangelis Korakakis, Gerasimos Andreatos, and Lysandros Falireas share their memories of her. Through her performances, the singer known as “the nightingale of Greek song” leaves a precious legacy in Greek music.
