Giorgos Sarantaris was cherished in a unique way by poetry lovers, leaving behind a powerful poetic legacy. Some of Greece’s greatest poets wrote about him, including Odysseas Elytis, who considered him his mentor.
The program explores the remarkable poet and thinker’s philosophy on art and life, his depiction of Athens in his poetry, the theme of silence in his work, and his reflections on poetry itself. Guests include philosopher and writer Sotiris Gounelas, poet Giorgos Markopoulos, and composer-singer Nena Venetsanou.

The program also highlights the Association of Friends of Giorgos Sarantaris, an organization dedicated to preserving his legacy through publications, lectures, and events.
