Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 19 July 2024

On Friday, July 19, 2024, after the introduction with the reference to current affairs, we hosted the energy analyst, Giannis Basias, in our attempt to understand how the Energy Market works in the Balkans and why we are reaching the point, here in Greece, to pay so much money for electricity bills, helping the providers to make super profits. Then, Nelli Psarrou, political scientist and journalist, creator of the documentary “ΣΤαγώνες”, was invited to the studio, on the occasion of which we talked about the so-called “green development” and the struggles of citizens to ensure unhindered and free access to water, the most basic of social goods, for which there have been indications, for decades, that there is an attempt at commercial exploitation, such that it could challenge the self-evident.
In the second hour, the guest in the studio was Ms. Ioanna Koutrοuba, a longtime worker and member of the expatriate communities in Warsaw and Belgrade. Ms. Kutruba described the “adventure” of life from Poland in 2008 with her family, returning in 2018 to Greece and then immigrating to the capital of Serbia in 2021. She talked about everyday life, the organization of the State, the her relationship with the Greek communities there and, in general, her experience of living in two countries with quite different characteristics.
The show ended with Ivana Djordjevic and international news and Giannis Papageorgiou with sports news.
