On the Wednesday show, October 30, 2024, after covering current events and newspaper headlines, we spoke with journalist and political analyst from ysterografa.gr, Manos Oikonomidis, about pressing political issues.
Following that, Mr. Petros Tasiotis, an international relations expert specializing in American foreign policy, analyzed the developments in the U.S. election campaign and how the results will affect our national issues.
In the second hour, we “traveled” to Northampton, England, where we discussed with Ms. Georgia Piki, director of the Greek school of the local Greek community. This school was initiated by Cypriot Greeks living in the area and currently has 55 students, striving to preserve the Greek language and customs and traditions, with a focus on the Greek Orthodox Church of Agios Neophytos.
Next, we listened to an interview with Thanasis Kafetzis, one of the two directors of the documentary “Loxi,” featuring the first actress with Down syndrome who signed a contract with the National Theatre and participated in a production, facing all the challenges and difficulties of such an endeavor. This film was screened at the 12th Chania Film Festival and will also participate in the Thessaloniki Festival.
