Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos and the “Chronis Aidonidis” Orchestra | 21 Apr. 2025

Voice of Greece, in collaboration with the program “Take Your Time,” hosted by Prokopis Agelopoulos, presented a special Easter Monday broadcast on April 21, 2025, from the ERT Music Ensembles studio. The program featured some of Greece’s finest musicians and performers of traditional music, including the “Chronis Aidonidis” Orchestra. Formed six months after the passing of the legendary representative of Thracian musical tradition, the orchestra honors his memory through a unique performance of traditional melodies and songs, not only from Thrace but also from across the country. Joining the orchestra at the ERT Music Ensembles studio were Vangelis Dimoudis (oud and vocals), performers Lefkothea Filipidi and Manos Koutsangelidis, Nikos Filipidis (clarinet and flute), Kostas Filipidis (laouto), Giorgos Marinakis (violin), Panos Dimitrakopoulos (kanoni), Kostas Meretakis (percussion), Stratis Psaradelis (politiki lyra and politiko laouto), and Giorgos Berzigiannidis (gaida).
