“Our Town” with Themis Rodamitis welcomes Stavros Lantsias. The celebrated composer, pianist, and arranger talks about his extensive work in discography, television, and theatre; his many acclaimed appearances in major concerts and stage productions such as “Some Like It Hot” and “West Side Story”; as well as his awards and his experience as an orchestra conductor.
He also reflects on his collaborations with leading Greek artists — Dionysis Savvopoulos, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Giorgos Dalaras, among others — and presents his new album, released on CD and vinyl, titled “Waving Hands”, following the widely praised “My Ennio Morricone.”
Inspired by the birth of his twin daughters, Lantsias’ latest work becomes a starting point for a conversation about fatherhood as a creative force, and about the way music accompanies the intimate, everyday moments that shape a life.
Tune in to Voice of Greece for a compelling programme featuring an artist who holds a singular place in both the Greek and international music scene.
