Deputy Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, and former Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Kostas Katsafados, spoke to “Fair Winds and Following Seas” on Voice of Greece about Posidonia 2026.
“Beyond the records this landmark maritime exhibition continues to break, it is particularly important that it has attracted so many young people. This is something we are witnessing and must continue to invest in. We need to encourage more young men and women to enter the shipping sector, because shipping is not only about ships—it is also about people. We have a responsibility to keep our maritime industry supplied with Greek officers and young professionals across the broader shipping field,” Mr. Katsafados emphasized, among other things.
