The guest on the program was acclaimed pianist and professor at the MDW – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Christos Marantos. The occasion was a series of concerts marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Greece, to be held first in Vienna on 17 June and later on Santorini on 17 July, together with composer and pianist Seo Yoon Yang.
Marantos spoke about the concert program, the distinctive four-hand piano technique, his professional journey in the Austrian capital, and the Santorini Masterclasses, which he founded to offer musicians from around the world—as well as young people from the Cyclades—the opportunity to attend exceptional music seminars and masterclasses.
The program was accompanied by songs and instrumental works by Manos Hadjidakis, marking the anniversary of his death on 15 June 1994.
