Iro Daskalaki, founder and president of “Daskalakis Congress & Trv” and founder of the initiative “Fair Seas with Health and Safety,” speaks on “Fair Winds and Following Seas” on Voice of Greece.
Ms. Daskalaki referred to the important maritime conference recently held at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.
Topics discussed during the conference included “Safety in Shipping,” “Specialties Currently in Short Supply,” and “Healthy Living for Seafarers,” featuring distinguished speakers from the maritime sector.
Among other things, Ms. Daskalaki stressed that “the sea is both life and journey. Shipping is an attractive prospect for young people, as long as they truly come to love it,” while also noting that the conference announced the establishment of a dedicated training school for marine electricians.
