On the Friday, May 2nd, 2025 episode, we welcomed the new president of EINAP, Giorgos Sideris, for an in-studio discussion on the pressing challenges facing Greece’s National Health System (ESY), focusing on issues of infrastructure and staffing. In the second half of the show, we opened with an interview featuring Giorgos Papadimitriou, Head of Environmental Policy at the Hellenic Ornithological Society. The conversation was sparked by recent poaching incidents, including the assault of environmental organization members in Zakynthos.
We then turned to journalist, philologist, and translator Philippos Zacharis to talk about his new book, Life Opportunities, which will be presented on Monday, May 5th at the historic “Parnassos” Literary Society.
To close the program, we had the pleasure of a phone interview with acclaimed musician Ross Daly, a leading figure in modal music, who lives and works in Crete. Our conversation centered on his upcoming concerts on May 4th and 5th at Myrtillo Café.
