On Friday, 06 February 2026, following a review of the headlines, we spoke with Panagiotis Ioakeimidis, Emeritus Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, former ambassador and advisor to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, about the future of the United Nations and the developments following the expiration of the New START Treaty on nuclear weapons, as well as the risks this entails for humanity.
We then received an update from Nana Papadogeorgaki, lawyer and mediator, on the implications of the Areios Pagos ruling for borrowers who have been included under the Katselis Law.
During the second hour, we spoke by phone with Elena Thanou, the new scholarship recipient of the Elena Heliopoulou Yama Foundation and a doctoral candidate in the Department of Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She discussed her research on biomarkers for the early diagnosis of certain forms of cancer.
